It was such a lasting, sincere relationship that led to our partnership with Alfred Giraud, a young whisky brand with a traditional soul. We want to tell you about it, because this first French Whisky is in tune with our brand.

The family

First of all, Alfred Giraud has been a family business for five generations of Girauds, coopers and wine cellar owners of one of the best Cognac Maisons, then managers and spirits distributors. An extended expertise at the service of a new vision, which gives birth to cognac-style whisky, as close as possible to its terroirs and even in its casks. From the selection of raw materials, to ageing and assembly, the entire know-how and heritage of French cognac is distilled in this whisky, in line with Girauds’ expertise.

Since the beginning, the family has been driven by a wish to bring change and come together to create an exceptional, ambitious and asserted product:  French whisky.

The friendship

Then, it is a matter of respect, loyalty, time. Jean-Pierre Giraud (4^th generation) met Jacques Wauters and inspired several packaging references for Cognac, then for Champagne. When he decided to create his own brand, he naturally turned to Wauters. “I knew I could count on their professionalism, their expertise and equipment. They work for fragrances, spirits, Luxury products are no secret to them. We are looking for an exceptional product which can undeniably rely on this heritage. Working with Jacques, with Wauters, came natural to us, I consider it to be one of the best French printing companies. What’s more, Jacques is an old friend. ”

The End Of The Story?

Lastly, aesthetics is also an encounter. When we understand one another at a glance, our expectations are met. The Giraud family is proud that its product is manufactured in France using the best of traditional know-how. The case accepts no compromise. Two noble cardboards are laminated (“Invercote” on the outside, “Crownboard Craft” on the inside). The gilding, a Wauters heritage par excellence, is highlighted here, in particular on the gun barrel signature pattern. Embossing, spot colour printing, subtly mastered pale grey and beige, perfectly spread soft touch varnish. HERITAGE and HARMONY are expressed in utter delicacy, in a sober creation made to last.
