A three-part governance structure with a single vision

Structuring today to build tomorrow

Over the years, the Wauters Group has adapted its governance structure to address a key issue: ensuring that its skills survive and thrive, its vision remains consistent, and that the Group can maintain its ability to plan for the long term.
Following the holding company’s creation in 2015, Wauters and B.PACK have joined forces as one financial and legal entity – the Wauters Group. Ten years of gradual consolidation, structuring, and alignment have resulted in a sound model that hinges on a shared, three-part governance strategy.

Three directors, one tier of decision-making

Today, Eric and Thierry Wauters – the fourth generation to run this family business – steer the Group alongside Rachel Praicheux, who has been President of B.PACK since 2019. Three directors, one shared decision-making mandate, one single perspective.
This trio represents a unique form of balance: the two brothers embody the Group’s industrial heritage, while the third director is someone who climbed her way to the top. Rachel Praicheux joined B.PACK in 2002, when it was purchased by Wauters, and has forged an entire career within the company.
With three directors, there is no status quo. Topics are tackled as a group, points of view mesh, decisions get made. A monthly steering committee drives this decision-making potential, boosting progress and developing internal organisation – a cornerstone in the Group’s governance model.

A shared vision that challenges and pushes for progress

The Group’s three-part governance structure sets the general guidelines, but its strength also lies in the ability to rely on an expanded executive committee made up of department heads and industry professionals.
The executive committee plays a key role: adopting the Group’s vision, enriching it, and ensuring its successful roll-out among the staff. The company’s strategic decisions are tested in the field when applied to industrial, organisational, and human reality. Therefore, decisions don’t end with their publication – they’re shared, explained, implemented, and rolled out collectively.

A raison d’être that doubles as a guiding principle

This form of governance is based on a clear raison d’être: designing packaging that showcases our clients’ exceptional products.
Concretely, this means that the Group’s areas of expertise are leveraged to attain quality and innovation, develop talent, and build partnerships that respect people and the principles of sustainable development.
This shared vision revolves around one firm belief: remaining, first and foremost, a luxury packaging manufacturer. This luxury is found in the intangibles: process complexity, complete mastery of our materials, and minute attention to detail.

A reputation for expertise, and certified commitments

Our high standards are demonstrated by several prestigious certifications. Wauters is a certified “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” (living heritage company) – an award that showcases excellence in French know-how, in particular in the areas of gilding and embossing that define the Group (B.PACK’s certification is currently underway).

Our locations also participate in wide-ranging initiatives like EcoVadis Platinum, FSC®, and Imprim’Vert, speaking to our ongoing commitment to environmental, social, and societal responsibility.

Two locations, one shared vision

Wauters and B.PACK complement each other to support this ambition. Formats, capacities, volumes, areas of expertise… Each location maintains its own speciality while working within a coordinated industrial strategy.
The goal isn’t uniformity – it’s alignment. The goal of incorporating B.PACK was never to change its organisation, but rather to respect, strengthen, and modernise it. The Group guides its two locations towards autonomy and complementary activities.

A pioneering spirit focused on innovation

The Group fosters a pioneering spirit. Each location can lead the introduction of new technology, processes, and equipment. The solutions they develop are then rolled out across the Group as part of a continuous improvement policy.
This approach allows us to keep investing in both innovative technology and environmental performance. We focus on reducing our consumption of electricity and materials, using cleaner inks and varnishes, incorporating more ethical solutions, and improving the safety and comfort of our teams.

Day-to-day operating excellence

Beyond the equipment used, our excellence relies on shared processes, high standards of quality, and a deep-rooted culture of mutual assistance between our two locations.
It means meticulous attention to detail in everything we do to achieve reliability, repeatability, and customer satisfaction.

Governance as intentionality

Thinking about governance means thinking about the future. Passing down knowledge, investment, skill development, technology foresight: each decision is a building block in a long-term strategy.

The Wauters Group’s governance is more than a structure – it is an intention to build a resilient future together with every team member, partner, and luxury brand that trusts us.
